We know having your first baby can be really overwhelming, and you want to make sure that you get everything you need for when the baby arrives. SO, we have made a list for you with all of the things that we loved and that we would recommend to you:
We made this video to show you our top 5 products and we have listed the rest below
Sleepyhead
This can go anywhere, at the beginning we used it inside their cot as they were so small andd we also brought it downstairs and put it on the sofa some days. You can buy fancy covers separate, we loved this blue one!
Moses basket
For downstairs so baby can sleep during the day and still be near you!
Chicco next to me
Baby bjorn bouncer
To put baby in when they're around 4 weeks old (trust us, this was AMAZING!)
Tomee tipee perfect prep machine
This machine is pretty much like a coffee machine for babies (but obvs with milk ...) It makes up your bottles in 2 minutes and at the perfect temperature, all in just two clicks of a button!
Aptamil ready made bottles for hospital
These are ready-made sterilised bottles so you don’t need to do anything. You can get them from most Boots/ Mothercare or online - they are perfect for the newborn stage if you are bottle feeding, as they start from these small amounts and can even go up to around 7 ounces - you can put them in your hospital bag ready for when the baby is born, and store them at home! They are a little pricey, but when you are an exhausted new mum and the thought of running downstairs every 2 hours in the night is too much to handle, you can just pop one of these out from your bedside drawer!
Ewan the dream sheep
Replicates your heart beat and many other calming sounds, so it helps them feel reassured and comforted.
Aden & Anais Swaddle blankets
Swaddle blankets to swaddle the baby and muslin cloths for general use and when the baby is sick (which will probably be a lot ... :-D )
Bottles
Mam are the best as they sterilise in the microwave (get a brush cleaner too)
Steriliser
If you want to buy a steriliser ( which you don’t have to with Mam bottles ) This one is great from Tommee Tippee.
Car mobile from Tiny Love
It was a life saver, you put it on the car seat when the baby is in the car, or attach it to yor buggy when you’re out and about, and it helps distract them and stops them from crying (most of the time...).
Angel care bath
It goes inside the bath and is perfect for newborns
Playmat
(Baby won’t use this for the first few weeks ) People say get colours to stimulate the baby but you can always add colourful toys and objects to hang down if you don’t want something too bright and visually offending...
Cot mobile
This one from skip hop is sold on John Lewis, and has a ceiling projector
